The Hut Teen Center offers food, space, and activities for teens, 6th grade up to 12th grade every afternoon.

  • Monday – Friday, 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Early Release Days, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
  • In-Service, Conferences, School Breaks, Holidays, CLOSED

Youth Tennis Club

Ages: 6th– 9th grade

Description: Youth Tennis Club is open to all levels of tennis. From beginners to advance, this club focuses on learning the basics of tennis and moving into match play skills. All equipment, afternoon stacks, and transportation can be provided. This program is available to youth, from any school, who meet our age requirements. Youth Tennis Club is taught by instructors and volunteers from the Addison Community Athletics Foundation (ACAF) and is a collaborative program between ACAF, Addison Central Teens (ACT), and our local high school tennis players.

Middle School Art Club

  • Every Tuesday, 3-4 p.m.

Ages: 7th & 8th Grade

Description: The middle school Art Club will be an opportunity for aspiring artist and creators to develop their skills more deeply. The club will be offered a chance to learn and practice artistic platforms such as painting, drawing, pottery, wood working, and much more. The program will be led by MUMS Art teacher, Lisa Maggio but will also include guest art instructors from the community. Participants in the Art Club will also be able to take advantage of fields trips to various art museums and off site instructional programs. This program is a collaboration between MUMS and Addison Central Teens (ACT).

Maker’s Club

Dates, Times, Location:

  • Session 1: Thursdays, September 28th – November 16th, 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.
  • Session 2: Thursdays, January 11th – February 15th, 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.
  • Session 3: Thursdays, March 1st – April 19th, 3:30-5:00 p.m.
  • Location – All classes will be held at Hannaford Career Center, Room A129

Ages: 7th -12th grade

Description: Maker’s Club gives teens the opportunity to dive into concepts and activities around coding, design, 3D printing, and many other areas of STEM. The class is structured to give teens the opportunity to plan and put into action some of their own amazing ideas! Past club members have built models of “tiny houses”, built video games, and constructed motorized models of cars. There will be an opportunity for club member to take part in off site visits to Maker type spaces in our community. The instructor for the Maker’s Club will be Jake Burnham, STEM Teacher for Hannaford Career Center.
